St. Mary’s YOUth Group

Our high school group meets every Wednesday evening from 7-8:15 p.m. in the parish center at 139 E. Chestnut, Canton Illinois. We meet during the school year with summer activities and retreats planned.
Our meetings are a mix of faith, family, fun and service. We begin and end with prayer. The YOUth Group is designed to expand a high school student’s faith with open discussion, use of the Catholic Catechism, service projects and fun activities.
Youth Group members are a wonderful part of our church family. They assist with church needs and community projects.
Each year youth group members elect officers. The officers take on added responsibilities to help develop the program.
St. Mary’s teens participate in fund raising activities to help fund attending the March for Life pilgrimage to Washington DC in January. This is a unique and faith building experience for our teens and chaperones to share their faith with over 400,000 people. We march with others to protest abortion and to share our belief that all life is sacred from conception to natural death.
